Some Days.

Sometimes when you walk into the room.  You see your two year old.  Sitting on the treadmill.  Eating a stick of butter.  And you just know it's just been one of those days.  The kind where your bagel and cream cheese, apple slices, and steamed zucchini... just wasn't enough.  I mean, I would go for the chocolate when I have one of "those days".  But whatevs.  To each their own.

*and just because some people don't have a sense of humor and might be worried. She did not get to eat the whole stick of butter. I took it away after taking pictures. But only after pictures. Because that's what good moms do. Always take pictures first. And then we put that butter back in the fridge. Because I am also a frugal mom. Butter ain't cheap my friends. Plus we all know the real reason you have butter is to make cookies. And everyone knows that toddler slobber bakes out when making cookies. Duh. So no need to waste nibbled butter. Common sense here folks.

Eclipse.

I don't have the right equipment for amazing pictures.  But it was kind of fun to try.

Day 4 and 5.

Disneyland.
I really didn't take too many pictures.  I like disneyland. but... I hate crowds.  I hate long lines.  Which is why a couple weeks before schools let out is the perfect time for us to go. The kids have a couple favorite rides and we were able to ride those over and over.  Specifically buzz lightyear, starwars, small world, and autotopia.

The kids loved it and are already planning the next disney trip. You know, to see these faces again, I just might do it!

We went home the next day. Had some carsickness "incidents".  Made it home in one piece. Everyone was very happy to be home.
The end.

Day 3.

Legoland.

Isaac was not a fan of this ride.  He knew what it was.  He's been on it before.  I guess he just forgot until he was up in his seat, and the ride was ready to start.  And being the good mother I am.  I laughed.  And took pictures.  And laughed some more...until I cried.  Poor kid.
Ainsley loved it.  Check out that grin.
The next one was Ainsley's favorite.

She wanted to ride Again.  and again.  and again.
Look friends.  It's me!!  Mike doesn't do spinning rides.  So lucky me, I get to take the kids over and over.  Oh wait.  Nope.  They wanted to ride over and over...but once was more than enough for me.

Isaac's favorite part of the day.  Looking at all of the lego creations.  Shame on me for not taking more pictures of him with the built legos.
We also went to the sealife aquarium.  Always a hit with our family.  Then we got in the car, said peace out Carlsbad, and headed for Anaheim.

Day 2.

Our full day at the beach.  Loved every minute of it.
{note:this is how girls pose}
 {note:and this would be a boy pose}

Isaac ran straight for the water.
Ainsley preferred not getting wet.  She enjoyed digging and building castles all day.
 This was as close to the water as she wanted to get.

At one point she was so involved with her digging she didn't see the waves coming. It was hilarious.
Gwen even enjoyed the beach the second-go-around!  I mean, she didn't go near the water.  Still freaked her out.  But she was all over the sand castle building.

I was sad to see our beach time end.  I seriously loved this part of our vacation.  I have decided that next year we will skip legoland and disneyland all together.  Over crowded theme parks vs.  Quiet, serene beach... Kind of a no-brainer for me.  Hopefully the rest of the family can deal with my executive decision {wink}.
