Little Miss Mess

I have learned that there is no point in changing Ainsley's clothes when she gets dirty (when we are at home), because within a few minutes she will be messy all over again. If I were worried about keeping up appearances I would be doing nothing all day except washing her hands and face and changing her clothes. For those who don't know me well. . . I am the world's biggest GERM FREAK, so there is plenty of hand washing and spot cleaning going on. I just figure there are better things to do with my time then wrestling with a toddler just to keep her nice and neat.
Here are some great examples of her in all of her messy glory:

"What mom?! I don't eat dirt OR rocks!"

Of course Little Miss Ainsley always has a bump or bruise that goes along so nicely with her mess. . .

Here we are just before our walk started. Notice the nice cut between her eyes (courtesy of older brother Isaac).
By the time we are done with our walk, she has fallen and gotten a bruise and scratch around her eye.
Her first taste of spaghetti was a HUGE hit. I believe it is now one of her favorites. She thought it was so good she had to lick it off of her arms once she had cleaned her tray!
These last three are just because she is just so cute holding hands with Daddy on our walk. I would like to hear which of the next two you like better (I like to hear opinions helps me improve on my photography).

The last one made me laugh. . . "Hey guys wait for me!" She was running as fast as her little feet would let her go to catch up.

Wow! What a messy girl. We just started giving Hunter a piece of banana to eat by himself & it is soooo messy! As for the pictures I like the 1st one the best. The food pictures are cute too.

I never thought another kid could be as messy as Bria, but Ainsley just might be! Chloe is very prim and proper and never seems to get too dirty and Sophie is somewhere in between. I'm still hoping Bria will grow out of it.

I like both pictures, and they are both photographically strong. You utilized the rule of thirds really well in both of them, you just have to decide if you like the one with more scenery, or the one with more people. :) I'm thinking I might lean toward the first, but I keep changing my mind.

Holy cow....if she were my child there would be a lot of looking the other way!!! Especially with the spaghetti! Great for scrapbooking though and that's what counts right?!?
As for the pics..love them all! I especially like the 2nd of her and Mike...looks more natural and mike isn't leaning over to hold her hand. All of them are great though!

Brooke, she is so cute! I want to see you guys! Who does she look more like, you or Mike? I love the spagetti picture.

Great photos! I LOVE the spaghetti shots you got of her... wow, what a mess! As for the walking pictures, I think I like the 2nd one better, but really, they're all great. It helps that you have such cute subjects to work with!

Those are great pictures! I agree with the mess thing! It is way too hard to keep them all kept up all day long. I am a germ freak to and it is hard to let them get dirty every once in a while! I cannot decide which picture I like better. When I saw the first one I thought "oh- I love it" then I saw the second one and thought the same thing!

actually.. I just made myself decide. I think I like the first one. Mostly becuase it looks like he is leaning down to help her more. It is cute.

I like the second of the two hand-holding the best...you really have a good eye! I was just talking to a friend about how my kids are a mess all the time and how I haven't been taking as many pictures of them lately because I like to "clean" them up for the camera...but it's so smart to capture Miss Ainsley in her natural messiness! LOVE HER!
