Lala la la la.

Sing.

Sing a song.

Sing out loud.

Sing out strong.

Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear.

Just sing.

Sing a song.

You sing. She joins in. True Story. She will do it every time.

Isn't she just too cute for words?

Thursday.

I could smooch her face anytime of day.
Even at 9:00 pm when she is wanting to go to bed.
Especially then!

Pound Puppy.

Anyone else feel the urge to give these cheeks a big ol' smooch, or is it just me?
I am totally smitten.

three.

3 months old.
* "Got a roly poly baby sweet as apple pie. We call her yah yah roly poly. yah yah roly poly. " (doris day movie pillow talk)

3 years old.
*Her eyes kind of make her look mean and scary. . . but gosh darn it, she's three and just didn't want to smile.

3 days straight of harry potter (and many more days to come, I am sure!).
* I buzzed his hair right after this picture, and immediately missed his strawberry blonde hair. Note to self: next time just clean it up, don't buzz it all off!

Thursday.

Today is Thursday. There should be a picture of me. But I never got that far today. I did get this far. And I will leave it at that. Because she is too cute to compete with. I guess I will just try again next week.

Sisters.

Gwen is kind of afraid of this girl. I don't blame her. The girl is wild and crazy.

Man oh man how Ainsley loves Gwen. It's a full time job trying to keep Big sister from "loving" baby sister to death. Literally.

I look forward to the day when Gwen can defend herself. The day when Gwen can return the favor and show a little "love" back to her older sister.

Kind of like Isaac and Ainsley. You know fighting playing behind me right now. Okay. . . the fighting gets on my nerves. A lot. But the giggling and playing. I love it. A lot.

That's what I look forward to. These two sisters becoming BFF's.

rain.

A summer thunderstorm at 8 o'clock at night. . . and it's light enough to take pictures. I love it!

If you caught it in my hand-me-down post, I used to want to be a meteorologist. I always ran outside to play if it was raining. Always. Even as a teenager. Barefoot and splashing in the street water gutters. Those were the days. The only thing that would take me inside was the hail.

I love the rain. It's the only kind of water I like to play in. I hate hose water. Too cold. If you want to hear me yell, spray me with a hose. It's not pretty. I don't like public pools. Gross. I am terrified of the ocean. Lakes, ponds and streams. Only if I can see my feet at the bottom.

Point is I love the rain. So I am totally that mom who will take her kids out at 8 o'clock at night, to dance in the rain, and splash in the puddles.

Eye spy.

We have three blue eyes in our family. Mmmm. I love blue eyes.

We also have three brown eyes. Oh how I love chocolaty brown eyes.

One of those chocolaty brown eyes has been changing. Turning hazel, maybe green. Mike and I have hazel eyes. You never know what color they are going to be. Some days brown, some days green.

You guessed it. I love hazel eyes too. Even the frowning kind.

Just me and my favorite five year old.

Can you tell who he was today?

Hand-me-downs.

I have a younger sister. Two of them actually. But only one of them really had to wear all of my hand-me-downs. It bothered me. A lot really. Not because she had to wear my old used clothes, but because she wore MY old used clothes.

Take a look back at our Elementary School pictures. We are wearing the same exact outfits. My special kindergarten dress, became her special kindergarten dress. So on and so on for most of our elementary years. I don't think it bothered my sister. Let's be honest, your older sister is always cool, and you want to be just like her. Right Linds? Don't lie, you know it's true.

Like remember the time you said you wanted to be a vet, or a weather girl. Just like me. Except you hated animals, and storms scared you! It used to make me mad. I love it now though. I am honored that someone liked me enough to want to be just like me.

Today I put Gwen in an Ainsley hand-me-down. And so it begins. If you ask me though, I don't think Gwenyth could find a better person to look up to. And I promise you Ains, some day you will love it!

Reading.

Look who is reading!

As I have taught him to read, I wonder often, very often. . . who came up with words like comb or know? Way too many words are not pronounced the way they are spelled. Or how there are words like: Two, To and Too that are spelled differently but said the same, but have different meanings. Wow.

It is a miracle that I have been able to teach this little guy to read. A miracle I tell you!

He is a bookworm through and through.

Takes me back to a time when I would read all night long, way past "lights out". I thought I was so sneaky with my flashlight. I am now 99.9% sure my mom knew all along. Mom's know everything. It's a fact. I know. I am a mom.

Check out my reader. Seriously love it!

Someone woke up from nap time, so we added one more to the scene.

This is what happens near the end of reading time. Chaos.

Sigh.

Who came up with the word chaos anyway?
