Oh the Weather Outside

Have I mentioned the weather here in Texas is TEMPERAMENTAL?!

Saturday the weather was beautiful, almost hot, even though I wasn't feeling good there was no way we could waste another beautiful day inside.

Sunday it rained all day long. We are talking major thunderstorms, damaging winds, and TORNADO watches.

Here we are tonight, Monday night, and it has been snowing for the past five hours. We have a good couple inches on the ground, and it is still snowing hard. The last thing Isaac said before bedtime was "I can't wait to build a snowman tomorrow!" From what I hear it's a rare occasion to have snow in Dallas, and Isaac was thrilled. As soon as it started snowing, before it was even accumulating, he ran for his coat and winter gear. We all got bundled up and headed outside. He kept saying over and over "Yeah, I am so excited it snowed on my birthday!" Lucky boy, he got everything he wanted and then some!

Great pictures Brooke! I really love the one of Ainsley and Mike.

And I am so done with the snow. We got a big storm the other night after a week of near spring temperatures. I thought we were done. But I'm glad Isaac got to have it.

And speaking of Isaac, I love reading your out of the mouths of babes. He is one hilarious kid!

I love living in a place with a variety of weather, though it is a bit of a rude awakening whenever we have to actually function in it. I hate driving in the snow and grocery shopping in the rain. I think I'm ready for summer- I never thought I'd say that!

It must be some crazy climate changes going on across the US. My family in Colorado and Utah had the exact same weather happening at the same time you did. It didn't snow a millimete here-what a shock!

Texas weather kills me. That is how it was where we are. Sunday we went for a walk, super nice out side, and the next day snow. How exciting for Issac though. Happy Birthday to him!!

Okay...I keep meaning to tell you. You look (back in your blonde days) JUST LIKE Micheal Johns' (from American Idol) his wife! Everytime they show her in the crowd, I think of you! She's darling...and so are you!
