I taught myself how to knit on Thursday. Yup. I. am. obsessed. My very first piece was a wrap/blanket for my next new obsession. I did my very first newborn shoot today. Just for fun. And fun it was.
Ashley moved like NO OTHER eleven day old baby, I have ever seen. She was born ready to crawl. Seriously.
In all honesty, my handy dandy knitting project is possibly the world's ugliest blanket, (Ashley made it look decent) but I couldn't be more proud! I am officially going on a knitting spree.
Back to Ashley. . . did you catch her cute little peek-a-boo toes? Does life get any sweeter than spending the day with this kind of perfection? nope. it. sure. doesn't.
Okay just ONE more peek, because I am in love with this itty bitty!

SO cute, Brooke!!!! Thanks again for taking her picture!!! I'm so excited to see more! HUGS! :D
Just adorable! I love the pears and tutu!
Newborn shoots are my favorite to do. Aren't they so much fun?
oh. my. gosh.
:o)
OK, so perfect!
Awwww! she is so cute!
Very cute! I once learned how to knit but didn't catch the bug. Now I'd have to relearn. I'd love to make a hat for Elodie. Should put it on my ever growing "learn to do" list!
Love the shoot! I always love the itty bitty's on shelves and in buckets! So tiny and sweet!
thanks for the foam board tip!
your pictures turned out great :)
I can't knit worth anything, but I can crochet.
Your family is so cute! I miss you guys!
Knitting, huh? Well that is cool. Don't forget that you have 2 kids, so don't go getting too obsessed with this whole new hobby thing. :)
Those are so cute. I keep telling Michelle she needs to have you do her wedding pics.
You know, the blanket actually looks quite artistic. Perfection is boring anyways...I always preferred impressionism to realism. Besides, you are bound to be better at knitting that most LDS women still within child-bearing age...you might teach the rest of us a trick or two before the artform is lost forever :)
Regarding the pictures, they are lovely (Just as an unimportant sidenote: I am using words like "lovely," "terribly," and "quite" as a result of my recent obsession with watching a BBC show from the '70s--"Upstairs, Downstairs"--we found it at the library...it quite good...you would have a terribly fun time if you watched it too.)
Anyways, keep up the good work! I really think you could go into business...with the photographs of course...maybe the knitting too someday.
P.S. Thanks for the photography tip about the kitties, however, we lost one a few weeks ago due to a wreckless driver...long story...J is still very upset about it...but that is why there is only one in the pics. Take care. Talk again soon!
So so sweet. I love the pics. You need to go into a side business of photography....and now, maybe crocheting? Love the blankie. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the headband. Darling!
Oh! I love those pictures! I want to snuggle that precious baby! I love your knitting project and the tu-tu is scrumptious!
I'm jealous of all your many talents :)
Oh my word. Those pictures are so cute. And I love that her toes are peeking out in that first picture. Oh how I love little ones.
knitting! that's cool. i only know how to crochet. i had a companion that taught me. it was funny. but knitting...the two needle thing seems too hard for me.
These pictures are great! Hey can I get your address so we could send you a Christmas Card? Or just tell me which city you actually live in in Texas and I can find you on whitepages.com. Thanks!
Wow!! Those shots have me speech less. You are so awesome!
The red tutu pic was my fav from J's blog so glad to see it here also!!! You are awesome!!!!
That baby is 11 days??? She has more hair than my kids have at 11 months! No fair. Cute pics though.
Thanks for keeping your blog public B. It is inspiration for me as I have just begun to create one for our family since we are way over in England now. Keep up the unique creativity! From Darcelle
VERY CUTE! I wanna buy a knitted thing. I love the imperfections.
I'm so glad to see you shooting. You have the eye and the passion, so it's all just a matter of time.
