Big Orange Pumkin Farm

I have been debating about when we should make our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch. Somehow in my mind pumpkin patches, shorts, and t-shirts just don't go together. But this morning we woke up to the PERFECT pumpkin patch weather. Score for us Mike had the day off of work! So we put on our jeans, and long sleeve shirts, and headed off to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm. Lots and lots of fun, and lot's of pictures. Enjoy!

SOME THINGS NEVER CHANGE. . . Encouragement from a big brother to taste the hay!

Cousin?

I was doing a google search for setting up a Mortensen Family blog and ran across yours. I was thinking you might be related since you are LDS (like me!)

My Dad's family came from Denmark and settled in Sanpete County (Ephraim, UT). That's where the name comes from. Most of my extended family is still in Utah.

Anyhow, I like the Blog and nice Family Name...go Mortensen's!

I am so sad that we are so super busy this year that I can't take them to go to the pumpkin farm. I think my mom is going to come up and take them on Tuesday while I am at work. At least they are getting to go with Grandma. I am missing out I know. Although I am going to be a SAHM as soon as we move and school is finished! I am really excited! You will have to help me out with preschool ideas before I go because I am going to do it with Elyse and maybe a little with Mady.

Such cute pictures! I'm jealous that you guys had a perfect weather day to go. I'm debating on whether or not to take the kids to Schnepf Farms this year and boil in the heat or go up north somewhere like to Prescott or something. There's something about picking pumpkins and sweating your brains out that just don't go together :)

I thought your comment about the zebra tutu was so funnY! Don't worry...it wasn't a subliminal message. Just the only pic I could find :)

Saw your comment on Bryndee's blog and decided to check yours out. Your kids are big! And are you doing at home preschool with them or something? It looks fun! Check out our blog heathhales.blogspot.com

Your kids are so brave. Lily will touch the side of the goat, but only baby ones. The bigger they get the more scared she is. Feeding them would have been a trauma to the girl. But who knows maybe she will do better the next time she is around the live stock. I know you hear this all the time, I LOVE YOUR PHOTOS!! You have a serious talent.
