New Smile

Life gets hard sometimes.

It is during the struggles I have to try hard to remain positive and remember to count my blessings.

One I am particularly grateful for right now is our good health.

Yes we get sick :

But nothing we can't smile our way through.

My family hasn't had to go to the doctor (minus vaccination visits) in TWO YEARS! AMAZING! Yes indeed I am counting my blessings.

The kids had their dentist appointments the other day.

Miss A. got a clean bill of health. She has this one spot that worries me, but it's just a defect in her enamel.
You better believe. . . I am counting my blessings.

Mr. I. . . well you know the story with his teeth.(it all started when he was a little guy, before he was even walking)

He didn't get off free and clear, but he doesn't have any "official" cavities yet.

Just spots that are turning into cavities.

Which means no fillings this time, but there will likely be some next time. . . sigh.

That gives us six months to save up the money! And how amazing to live in this day in age where they can even fix his teeth, with little to no pain in the process!

I am definitely counting my blessings!

Love it! I love your kids... they are adorable! So I have Brother Wold for institute right now. Do you remember the class we took together at CGCC? I can't remember what the name of the class was. He was asking me if I could remember and I definitely can't. ;) And... I was doing laundry the other day and my Old Navy shirt was in the batch... it still has the year on it. 2002. 6 years ago, almost 7, we went to the baseball game with your family for the 4th of July. I love it! The good old days.

Absolutely! I'm always up for hanging out. In fact, that's a great time... since I have a lot of furlough time scheduled (mandatory unpaid time off). :) I have 4/17, Friday afternoon off, and another 1/2 day on Monday, April 20. Yes! Please!!! Let's get together. I haven't seen you since before Isaac was crawling. In fact, I think I saw you right after you had him. That's been forever!

Yah... that cake looks awesome! You are a brave soul!!! I haven't found any good cake recipes, but I have definitely been looking and trying them out. Do you know of a specific flavor? I would love to help you decorate a cake! That would be fun!!!

If Brian wasn't getting married on the 18th, I would suggest you run the Pat Tillman run with me. But you should probably go to his wedding! You know what you need? You need to do a search on Itunes for couch to 5k in 9 weeks. It's a podcast. I use that to help me. It starts you running and walking (major good thing if you are trying to do a fat burn workout) and you gradually build up to distance. I love running because it's MY time and I can just go and think. Yah, it's not fun when you first start out and you feel like you are going to die, but it's an accomplishment for sure!

Brave... Brave I tell you! So I was just looking at wedding cake recipes. I'm looking for a wedding cake flavor and I think I found one. I'm probably going to try it out tomorrow, or over the weekend. YES! I love it! I can't wait! I'll let you know how it turns out. I've tried 2 recipes so far and they just didn't cut it. :)

it's definitely the small things that are the hugest blessings! Glad your family is healthy too! I know it's a huge blessing for us!

I love it! I actually thought about trying one of those cake recipes that uses a boxed cake mix. The problem I have found is that flour isn't as good as cake flour. The ones I have made with flour get crispy on the top. I didn't think that was very good. Maybe I should have shaved off the top, I don't know. I think if you did a chocolate cake with a whipped filling, a chocolate cake with a fruit filling, or plain, and then white with whipped, and white with fruit or plain, it would be good. Oh, just thinking about it... makes me want to do it. I have a good recipe for a raspberry filling that I tried the other day... tasty! I'm hungry now.
